Singapore's fire authority requires a Certificate of Conformity for fire-rated doorsets, commonly tested by SETSCO or TÜV SÜD. HDB units near lift lobbies or staircases commonly require 30 or 60 minutes.
What it actually decides
- Whether the doorset keeps its fire rating after a lock change
- 30 or 60 minute rating for HDB main doors
- That the certificate covers the doorset, not the lock in isolation

Why a retrofit designer cares
A lock supplier claiming 'fire certified' may hold a component certificate only. Ask for the doorset CoC number and the issuing body.
